Multimedia Storyteller & Photographer

Vanessa creates and tells stories by utilizing the powerful tool that is multimedia to recontextualize established narratives and bring connection to human stories, emotions and issues that surround our communities to enact change.

Vanessa (Vane) Ramos works as a photographer, videographer, communications specialist, producer, editor, speaker and/or project manager independently for V&M Productions, which she co-founded in 2014. Current and past clients include Indigenous Environmental Network (IEN), AFLCIO’s Texas Climate Jobs Project, Texas Campaign for the Environment, Sierra Club, Earth Day Austin, Coalition of Texans with Disabilities, Texas Sierra Club, Environmental Defense Fund’s Earth Street Austin, Public Citizen Texas, and additional grassroots groups throughout Texas.

Her photography, videography, production and/or speaking engagements have been featured in the CineMarfa Film Festival, Rice University’s Hurricane Harvey Archives - Virtual Museum, Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, Adding Color to your Green Agenda: Exploring the Role of Diversity in Sustainability - Austin EcoNetwork Podcast, Huston-Tillotson University’s Building Green Justice Forum, Southwest Through Images Film Festival at Texas State University and the Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse.

Vanessa was born as well as currently resides in Austin, Texas.
